Hiring Range: $15.00-$18.75 based on experience

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Athletic Grounds Maintenance Supervisor at the Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex, the Operations Maintenance Worker is responsible for routine maintenance of the Sports Complex.

Qualifications:

We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to assist with routine maintenance, general clean-up, and manual labor tasks at our Sports Complex. This position involves hands-on work in a variety of facility upkeep responsibilities. Previous experience in facilities or property maintenance is a plus but not required. Must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid Illinois Driver's License.

Pre-Requisite:

• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and terminology commonly used in Sports Complex maintenance
• Cognitive skills to follow both written and verbal directions
• Good record keeping skills
• Manual labor; moderate to heavy lifting
• Able to walk long distances (8-15 miles in one day)
• Ability to work in diverse climate and environment
• Available to work weekends, holidays, flexible start/end times and occasional over time

Primary Responsibilities:

This person's duties shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Sports Complex

• Performs routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities
• Removes trash in accordance with established procedures
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms and concession areas; stocks facilities with paper and supplies
• Reports and responds to emergency calls for custodial assistance
• Responds to service requests, coordinates resources and implements the set up and take down of furniture and equipment for various events
• Performs preventative maintenance in and around facilities
• Minor grounds keeping duties
