Facilities Maintenance Worker Job Description As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance, interact with building management, day porters, and cleaning services as problems arise. You will assist the facilities manager in supervising outside vendors and be involved in purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget preparation. Additionally, you will manage keys and badge access for employees, track inventory, and order pantry, office supplies, and new hire supplies. You will also manage conference room and event calendars and order catering for meetings and cultural events. Responsibilities Coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance. Interact with building management, day porter, and cleaning service as problems arise. Assist facilities manager to supervise outside vendors. Assist with purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget preparation. Manage keys and badge access for employees. Inventory tracking and ordering of pantry, office supplies, new hire supplies, etc. Manage conference room and event calendars as needed. Order catering for meetings and cultural events. Essential Skills Must have at least 3 years of experience performing facilities maintenance duties. General knowledge of office and warehouse facilities systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, etc. Skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, invoicing, and clerical support. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical is preferred. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
