Job Summary:

Exposure to learning the building trades from a beginners perspective to understand the requirements of what the apprenticeship jobs entails. Will begin to perform entry level tasks in Maintenance Mechanic I. This is to determine if the intern is a good fit for the Apprentice program. This program is developed to help individuals learn what skills are needed to be a skilled maintenance mechanic.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Enrollment in a school for Maintenance Mechanic. Ability to qualify for the Maintenance Technician State of WI certified Apprenticeship program and meet the ongoing requirements of the program. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Computer proficiency Good interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and hospital personnel.
