Medical Receptionist - EHPN Primary Care Englewood Dr. Sun FT Days Req Id: 61421 Job Summary: Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, the MA/MR assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management, interviews patients and/or patients' representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic, and financial information and identification. Performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients' registration within the registration areas. This position assists with flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory work on patients to ensure efficient use of the physician's time. Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred. Department: EHPN PrimaryCare Eng Dr. Sun Location:Englewood, NJ Status: Full Time Shift: Days Hours:Variable Job Essentials: Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, as well as to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other departments in accordance with Service Excellence Standards. Registers all patients in EMR. Includes retrieval of all demographics, financial and insurance information from patients. Secures all necessary signatures on required forms, and all check-in / check-out processes. Answers incoming calls, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information to the appropriate care team. Assists with booking patients in scheduling appointments to ancillary labs etc. English/Korean speaking preferred Education Requirements: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
