REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Nutritional Services, First Cook, Building Principals SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS:RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1-3 years' work-related cashiering skillsKnowledge of customer service principles POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning. SALARY: $16.01/hrESSENTIAL DUTIES:Preparation of food as directed by head cooksSet up serving linesServe food to students and staffKeep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stockedCount/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheetsMakes short order food as needed (ice cream, malts, pop)Compiles food and supply ordersReceives money for cash sales in ala-cart lineAssist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washerOther duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS:Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
