We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Medical Receptionist at our Brooklyn Gastroenterology & Endoscopy office in Brooklyn, NY . About the Role: The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front office at Brooklyn Gastroenterology & Endoscopy. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality healthcare services. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, creating a welcoming environment and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Additionally, this role involves coordinating with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and timely. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and the operational efficiency of the healthcare facility. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in medical office administration or a related field. Experience with billing and insurance processes. Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population. Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits. Maintain and update patient records and ensure confidentiality. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding services and procedures. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong communication abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with patients and medical staff. Organizational skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Attention to detail is necessary for accurately entering patient information and handling sensitive data. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with billing processes, enhance the ability to assist patients with insurance inquiries and payment options.
