Job Details1921 Mount Dora is seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. The position available requires a self starter who can effectively manage their own time and production. If you are a passionate culinarian and want to work alongside some industry professionals in a state-of-the-art kitchen, we would love to have you. This position requires schedule flexibility but is mostly composed of morning and daytime hours.

Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food preparation is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and catering practices is an advantage.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about menu planning and meal preparation processes.
Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience)
