Department: Housekeeping/Operations

Job Summary: Oxford Athletic Club is the most extensive private health and fitness club in the Pittsburgh area and is nationally recognized by the International Health, Racquet, and Sports Associations (IHRSA) for excellence

Carries out all job duties pertaining to the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. The purpose of this position is to staff and monitor the facility, answer member questions, keep member areas clean and organized and provide a high level of customer service to our members through personal and professional attention.

Job Relationships:Reports to: Head of Housekeeping
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Essential Job Duties:
Attends new employee orientation within 90 days of start date
Completes First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of start date
Uses bio time clock to clock in and out of every shift
Comes to work in proper uniform as per the current uniform policy, name tag is to be worn
Works according to the club wide description that states: everyone's job is identical; we all must work together to get and keep members
Exhibits a member friendly and a member first mentality
Answer telephone promptly with appropriate greeting
Greet all members who enter the facility
Always maintain a visual presence during shift
Personal cell phone use is not permitted while on duty
Provides a high level of personalized attention to members
Completes all assigned cleaning duties and cleans other areas as needed
Maintains the cleanliness of the locker room as outlined in the locker room job duties found in the housekeeping training manual
Cleans, dries and folds laundry, which includes all towels and items from the club
Performs all other duties pertaining to the cleanliness of all areas of the facility
Set up conference rooms for parties, seminars etc. as specified by the setup request forms
Assist with and promote special events and programs to the club membership by keeping current with club events, flyers and meeting information
Resolves any member issues through effective customer service skills and by referring issue to the appropriate manager. Contact Manager on duty if unsure of how to resolve the situation
Enforces current OAC and departmental policies by keeping current with changes and utilizing effective communication skills
Performs first aid and emergency responder techniques by maintaining CPR/AED and first aid certification
Contact Manager on duty immediately in case of emergency. Contact Manager on site to inform them of emergency as soon as possible
Attend scheduled departmental meetings and educational training sessions
Support supervisors and fellow staff and providing quality programs and services to our members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed ones expectations
Completes all other tasks as assigned by department supervisor, director and club managers

Qualifications:
Exhibits a professional manner discretion and professional appearance

Required Education and Experience:
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Minimum of six months worth of experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to bend and kneel
Ability to life up to 30 lbs.
