POSITION SUMMARY: Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. The Waiter/Waitress should be polite with guests and make sure they enjoy their meals. Waiter/Waitress should be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Enters food/beverage orders in computer.
- Garnishes and decorates dishes/beverages preparatory to serving.
- Brews coffee, portions desserts, and performs other services as determined by the Dining Room Manager or Host/Hostess.
- Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and ensure satisfaction of meal/beverage.
- Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course. Clears all items from table according to course being served.
- Ensures stations are kept neat and organized at all times.
- Responsible for all side work to be complete and checked before opening and closing – must be checked by the host/hostess or dining room manager.
- Assists in set-up of bar, filling ice bins and setting up liquor bottles on shelves.
- Assists in replenishing salad bar.
- Waits on tables in the Mahogany Lounge and breezeway.
- Totals bill and accepts payment.
- Responsible for shift report and tipping the appropriate staff members in accordance to the minimum set.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Carry full glass racks from kitchen to bar area.
- Carry bar trays with a minimum of 6 to 8 glasses.
- Carry trays with a minimum of 6 to 8 full dinner plates.
- Must assist in moving dining room tables and chairs.
