Dishwasher

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall sanitation for the work station
• Clean all items utilized in dining area utilizing machine and manual cleaning methods.
• Follow all policies and safety precautions set forth by Friendship Assisted Living, Sodexo and all applicable local, state and federal laws
• Load, run and unload dish machine to machine specifications
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
• Monitor dish machine water temperature/chemical level to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware/plate ware for dining room and kitchen
• Monitor linen and trash containers and empty when appropriate
• Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop all kitchen/dining room floors checking for broken items and wet areas that may be hazardous and remedy as necessary
• Assists with dining room service as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food service experience preferred
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
