OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Task Force Chef to join our team. This role involves stepping into leadership positions at various properties, providing culinary expertise, and ensuring seamless kitchen operations during times of transition, special events, or high-volume periods. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, efficiency, and leadership to every assignment, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation, aligning with brand standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in creating innovative menus and recipes tailored to the property’s needs.
- Implement seasonal and special event menus as required.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established guidelines.
- Manage food and labor costs, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders and minimizing waste.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
- Enforce all health and safety regulations, ensuring the kitchen meets local health department standards.
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation procedures.
- Uphold company policies regarding food handling and storage.
- Work closely with the management team to address any culinary challenges.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve kitchen operations.
- Support other departments in executing events, banquets, and special functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality, presentation, and flavor.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to travel and work in various locations as needed.
