Night Janitor
Location: Kapiolani Manor- 1655 Makaloa Street, Honolulu, HI 96814
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Wage: $14-16 depending on experience

Shift Available: Swing Shift (Mon-Tues 11:00pm-7:30am and Fri-Sat 3:00pm-11:30pm Sun 7:30am-4:00pm)

Position Summary:
The Night Janitor/Security is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety of the property during overnight hours. This hybrid role combines light janitorial duties with on-site security monitoring to ensure a clean, secure, and peaceful environment for residents and guests after hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Duties
Patrol building property (interior and exterior) regularly throughout shift.
Monitor security cameras and building access points.
Respond to noise complaints, disturbances, or emergencies appropriately.
Lock/unlock designated areas as scheduled or directed.
Report suspicious activity, trespassers, or incidents to management and/or authorities.
Complete nightly activity logs and incident reports.

Janitorial Duties
Sweep and mop common areas including lobby, hallways, and elevators.
Empty trash bins in public/common areas (e.g., lobby, laundry room, restrooms).
Wipe down surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and mailboxes.
Spot clean spills and address cleanliness issues immediately.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior janitorial or security experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and remain alert during night hours.
Strong observation and reporting skills.
Physically able to walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in residential or high-rise buildings
