Facility Maintenance Technician

BlueHalo, an AV Company, has an immediate opening for a Facility Maintenance Technician (FMT) for additional support maintaining labs, machine shop facility and mechanical equipment. Successful planning and execution of this maintenance ensures the safety and functionality of critical systems. The FMT will be part of a small team that performs routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various equipment, systems, and structures.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Performing regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on systems like pumps, motors, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment and systems, including electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards, addressing potential hazards, and responding to emergencies.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicating with facility management, occupants, and contractors regarding maintenance needs and issues.
• Performing tasks like changing light bulbs, maintaining exterior property, and addressing minor repairs.
• Responding to emergency maintenance requests other critical issues.
• Coordinating with contractors and other maintenance personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• This position is working at a government facility and requires U.S. citizenship.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, machine shop or a related field.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of maintenance problems
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating work.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Skill in using various tools and equipment.
