The purpose of this job is to perform general cleaning, janitorial duties, and light maintenance of assigned property and buildings. Responsible for keeping City facilities clean and maintaining a healthy environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description

  • Ensures buildings and facilities, including common areas, are properly cleaned, maintained, and available for patron use.
  • Unlocks and locks buildings.
  • Monitors and maintains cleaning supply inventory and ensures cleaning equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Removes trash, recycling, and debris from the interior and exterior of the facility.
  • Vacuums, sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; shampoos carpets; and washes windows and walls.
  • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, kitchenettes, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies.
  • Dusts, polishes, and moves furniture and equipment.
  • Replaces lamps in lighting fixtures.
  • Assists with snow removal.
  • Follows safety policies and guidelines.
  • Provides effective customer service to patrons.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Licenses or Certifications

  • Valid driver's license.

Hours/Days

Day shift is Mon - Fri (5:30 am - 2:00 pm)

The evening shift is Mon - Fri (Mon - Thurs 3:00 pm - 12:30 am) (Fri 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
