What You'll Do:
Come join Beaver Run Resort in our food and beverage department as our Banquets Setup Lead! The ideal candidate for this position should have previous supervisory experience as well as 3+ years of server/bartending experience. This position will help train and supervise banquet setup staff with a dedicated focus to conference/ event setup execution, maintenance and room flip needs. The Banquets Setup Lead will also be in a guest-facing role, ensuring that the specifics of banquet orders are met, with an emphasis on venue setup. Housing may be available on a first-come, first-served basis, based on position. Full-time, year-round opportunity with benefits eligibility
Position starts at $18.00-$20.00 DOE
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead team of setup staff, ensuring that all guest needs are met and standards upheld
- Verify staffing levels will be met and adjust schedules based on employees' ability to attend
- Partner with Banquets management with any staff and layout concerns
- Coordinate with other leads to provide consistent service
- Assist in training staff
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with entire Banquets team to get venue ready for events
- Ensure proper venue setup including A/V, tables and chairs, staging, light and sound levels, and temperature are correct per the event order
- Oversee proper teardown of space after event, with the space being returned to inspection-ready state
- Inspect banquet equipment and replace/clean/repair as needed
- Maintain all banquet materials and storage areas
- Address guest concerns and questions
- All relevant side-work
What You'll Bring:
- 1+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred
- Excellent communication in written and spoken English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift and carry 40+lbs
- Flexible availability - including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Will stand and walk for long periods of time (8-9 hours)
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Must enjoy working with the public
- Strong customer relations skills
- Able to push a vacuum.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. regularly.
- Able to push a full housekeeping and floor cart.
- Walk, bend and stoop
