Overview
Tecolote Research Inc. is seeking candidates for the role of Space Systems Command (SSC) Commercial Space Office (COMSO) Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, manage, and execute external stakeholder engagements that encompass all SSC organizations, mission areas, SLDs, and GSUs
Responsibilities
Support the US Space Force and Commercial Space Office to develop and coordinate programs and program events to meet mission objectives and improve overall performance within the Space Force mission portfolio. Tactical, decisive, and flexible to ensure the proper delivery of capabilities and services is met.
Creates plans of action and milestones (POAMs), briefings, talking papers, and other written products to assist leadership in timely decision making.
Plans and executes industry days and reverse industry days to facilitate continuous dialogue with military program offices and space industry segments. (This includes being responsible for and overseeing particular tasks throughout the event planning process)
Meeting with vendors at the venue location to help with set-up, running errands for supplies, decorations, presentations, and working with staff to ensure the completion of a successful event.
On-site presence with some travel expected
Skills Required
Years of Experience: 5+ years of combined industry and federal government experience (such as DoD/NASA/NRO employee or SETA/FFRDC supporting federal government acquisition).
5+ years of experience in event planning, project or program management, and logistics.
Experience in planning, directing, or coordinating the operations of public or private sector organizations.
Experience working closely with trade associations and/or professional organizations related to space, cyber, or aerospace.
Must effectively communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical and administrative accuracy in a professional manner.
Interest and ability to work in a dynamic, geographically separated work environment
Must be able to perform all duties independently.
U.S. citizenship required
Active Secret security clearance required
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000/year, DOE
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
