Apartment Maintenance Worker

Employer is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Worker. Requires HS/GED, and 7 yrs experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance, English required to communicate with tenants and staff.

Will also have the following duties:

Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains..

Replacing carpets and wooden floors.

Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches

Painting communal areas and exterior walls..

Disposing of trash found in communal areas.

Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.

Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times.

Unlocking apartments in instances where tenants have lost or forgotten their keys.

Scheduling repairs that warrant special technical skills.

Other duties as assigned.

Required:

Minimum 7 years experience as an apartment maintenance technician or in a similar role.

Dexterity and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive to pick up parts.

Available to work on weekends, if required.

Background requirements: Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. (Due to the nature of employer's business, company policy requires that candidates having criminal background will not be considered for employment.)
