Environmental Service Technician / Housekeeper Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Service Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of non-occupied patient rooms, as well as isolation rooms, following strict safety procedures. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Clean non-occupied patient rooms thoroughly, including deep cleaning and disinfecting. Make beds, flip mattresses, and ensure all linens are handled appropriately. Lift and place heavy bags of linens into the chute. Clean isolation rooms following strict safety measures, including mopping and disinfecting thoroughly. Maintain communication with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team. Adhere to strict attendance and reliability standards, completing duties independently when necessary. Essential Skills At least 6 months of previous hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience. Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently and push up to 200lbs. Strong attendance record. Excellent communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Direct experience in hospital settings is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a hospital setting where self-motivation is crucial as most tasks are performed independently. Training is provided for 1-2 weeks based on task proficiency. Adherence to professional appearance is required, including no facial piercings, covered tattoos, and no heavy fragrances. Shifts are available on a rotating basis, including weekends, with three shifts to choose from: 1st (7am-5:30pm), 2nd (1pm-11:30pm), and 3rd (9pm-7:30am). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.10 - $15.10/hr.
