Town Maintenance Worker

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The maintenance worker is responsible for theyear-round maintenance of the roads, ditches, right-of-ways; includingwinter snow and ice removal. This position involves operating town ownedequipment, performing manual labor, and ensuring public safetyyear-round. Paid on the job training is provided. Involves primarilyoutdoor work in various weather conditions throughout the year. Task mayrequire occasional lifting, use of equipment, and extended periods ofstanding or walking. Safety equipment and proper training are providedto support safe and efficient work. Employees will work bothindependently and as part of a team in a supportive municipalenvironment. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ability tooperate and learn to operate town-owned machinery and equipment. CDL ispreferred or must be willing obtained within a set time frame (trainingand support will be provided). Mechanical aptitude and interest inoperating and maintaining public works equipment.
