Part-Time Janitor

Part-Time Janitor/General Maintenance Location: Spartanburg, SC Pay: $15-$16 per hour Schedule: 3 days per week, 3 hours per day (Flexible weekday schedule) Job Description: A local church in Spartanburg is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Part-Time Janitor/General Maintenance Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for church members, guests, and staff. Key Responsibilities: Janitorial Duties: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in sanctuary, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas Empty trash cans and recycling bins; replace liners Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors) and replenish supplies Dust furniture, ledges, and light fixtures Clean glass doors and windows Set up or rearrange chairs/tables for events as needed General Maintenance Duties: Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, tightening loose fixtures) Report maintenance issues or needed repairs to church leadership Keep maintenance and janitorial supplies organized and stocked Requirements: Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical work for the duration of shift Must be respectful of the church setting and community values Basic knowledge of hand tools and minor repairs is a plus
