Pascual is a new Contemporary Mexican restaurant centered around a wood-fired hearth, heirloom corn, and local, seasonal ingredients. Located in the heart of Capitol Hill, Pascual is the latest collaboration between family-owned restaurateurs, The Popal Group, and award-winning chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy.

Position Overview

The Line Cook at Pascual will oversee one of our key sections in the kitchen, working with fresh, high-quality ingredients to create exceptional contemporary Mexican dishes. As part of a dynamic kitchen team, the Line Cook will contribute to the restaurants mission to offer an elevated yet approachable dinning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent portioning, plating, and timing.
  • Prepare and cook menu items on your station in accordance with recipes and quality standards
  • Follow all kitchen procedures and station prep lists accurately
  • Prepare dishes according to Pascual's recipes with careful attention to season ingredients and mezcal pairings
  • Work closely with kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use
  • Uphold the cleanliness and safety standards of the kitchen.
  • Properly label, date, and store all items
  • Support other staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Proven experience in a similar position in high-end or Mexican cuisine.
  • Strong organizational skills .
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a high-pressure environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $23.00) plus tips
