Responsibilities
Regularly check your work area and discard expired or mishandled food items.
Assemble patient meal trays based on menu orders, following food safety and hygiene protocols.
Accurately portion, label, and prepare food items for hospital patients.
Report low inventory levels to your manager.
Operate and clean equipment such as warmers, slicers, steam tables, and refrigerators.
Stay updated on changes in menus, recipes, and portioning procedures.
Participate in quality control and improvement activities.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) for food rotation and proper labeling.
Handle potentially hazardous food according to safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Uphold the hospitals mission by providing excellent service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Complete all tasks during your shift and communicate any pending items to your manager.
Report any issues or concerns promptly.
Assist with restocking, cleaning, and organizing during slow periods.
Thoroughly clean all work areas, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and floor care.
Use PPE correctly and handle cleaning solutions according to safety standards.
Follow recycling and waste disposal protocols.
Adhere to OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
Provide courteous service to everyone you interact with.
Complete all required annual training on time.
Restock workstations and maintain sanitation to prevent cross-contamination.
Use proper procedures for clocking in/out and requesting time off.
