General Position Summary:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the aesthetics and health of the grounds for Catholic Community Services Foundation (CCSF). This position will primarily maintain the 30-acre grounds of the Queen of Angels Monastery. Will ensure that the grounds, exterior and special features of the assets are upkept, safe and maintained to ensure preservation. The Groundkeeper will assist the maintenance team with special projects, events and basic maintenance tasks.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of landscaping experience.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver license within 30 days of hire) and a driving record that permits coverage under the agency’s corporate auto liability policy and personal automobile liability insurance coverage.
- Requires a flexible work schedule including on-call hours as needed.
Required to demonstrate Job Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Mowing, edging, pruning, irrigation, fertilization, trimming, deadheading, planting, leaf blowing, pressure washing & hardscape.
- Landscaping equipment maintenance, seasonal maintenance and fertilization.
- Basic maintenance skills

Essential Position Functions and Key Work Processes:
- Plant, fertilize, prune, and maintain healthy trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, lawns and other vegetation on the property.
- Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters and other grounds features.
- Gather and remove litter and debris.
- Perform manual weeding, removing thatch, trimming, edging, applying herbicides and pest abatement as needed.
- Address and maintain landscaping tasks and projects as assigned.
- Performs and maintains manual labor in all types of weather.
- Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Safeguard employees, those we serve and the public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways. Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, etc. as necessary to protect employees, those we serve and the public as applicable.
