The role youll contribute:

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, reviewing new patient registration, entering patient information into the practices designated system, requesting, and collecting co-pays/outstanding balances at the time of check-in/check-out. This individual is responsible for taking accurate messages and routing correspondence efficiently. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff.

  • Welcomes patients, accurately updates, and verifies patient demographics

  • Maintains practice operational flow by communicating patients status to appropriate team members

  • Requests co-pay and outstanding balances on patient account at time of check-in

  • Accurately documents appropriate information within the designated office system to maintain accurate records

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

  • Minimum qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner

  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Diagnosis coding and medical billing experience
