Drag Edit Delete Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information Drag Edit Delete Coordinates lab work, reviews encounter forms, physician's report, ect. Drag Edit Delete Enters and maintains current patient information in the medical record (contact info, insurance, etc). Drag Edit Delete Type's correspondence as directed. Open, sort and deliver mail. Drag Edit Delete Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner Drag Edit Delete Receives payments, including point of service, from patients and issues receipts (check-in and checkout) Drag Edit Delete Provides financial counseling to patients requiring hospital admission, surgical proc. &/or delinquent account balance. Drag Edit Delete Reconciles daily cash and balances cash drawer Drag Edit Delete Posts charges and payments and maintains required records, reports and files as defined by the supervisor. Drag Edit Delete Daily balance and update charge and receipt summaries. Complete daily close process. Drag Edit Delete Prepares daily bank deposit Drag Edit Delete Ensures office supply inventory is adequate and orders supplies when needed Drag Edit Delete Timely processes invoices for payment Drag Edit Delete Assist in nursing duties as needed (referrals, precertifications, scheduling tests, etc).

Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Technical school certification in office occupations is preferred. Drag Edit Delete Required Skills
Must possess significant interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong computer skills and have the ability to work with multiple computer systems.
Must be able to work independently and within a team.
Must possess skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
