# Summary:# Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff by providing cleaning services in assigned areas. May transport patients and supplies as needed. Education: ### High School diploma preferred and ability to follow instructions and procedures necessary. Experience: Preference to individuals with cleaning experience especially in a health care setting.# Self-motivated with the initiative to provide the highest quality services. Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, and climb stairs and ladders without restriction.# Ability to lift between 40-80 pounds using good body mechanics.# Able to push and pull small equipment such as trash carts, rotary machines, and vacuums.# Exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting including medical waste, hazardous waste, and the risk of needle punctures.# Meets all safety training requirements associated with the Medical Center. # Interrelationships: Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability and tact creating a favorable image in relationship to the supported department and the Medical Center as a whole.# Develops and maintains positive relationships across all areas of responsibility.# Demonstrates commitment to the #Team Spirit,# customer relations and all of the basic concepts of total quality atmosphere.# Required timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including physicians, patients, families, and co-workers.
