Kitchen Aide

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Kitchen Aide.

This person will report to the Fulton County Senior Center in Wauseon Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to perform routine kitchen duties, maintain proper food service sanitation standards, and operate kitchen machinery. Certification, training or experience in food safety is desired.

PRIMARY DUTY: Food preparation and kitchen/custodial duties. Provide quality service to Seniors at all times

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

1. Comply with all health, sanitation and safety standards including Serv safe certification

2. Promote the Center and services in a positive way

3. Perform all duties related to meal service at the site (preparation, packing meals, prepare drinks, table set up)*- refer to rotation assignments*

4. Maintain cleaning schedules and cleaning duties as assigned- equipment, dishes, tables, serving area as assigned *refer to rotation assignments*

5. Interact with seniors and provide an inviting environment

6. Serve meals; carry food trays for Seniors, if necessary

7. Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor

Additional Home Delivery Duties as assigned:

1. Sanitize and prepare hotboxes and coolers

2. Wrap bread as assigned

3. Distribute fruit for home delivery and sites

Additional Duties as assigned:

1. Empty waste and recycle bins

2. Receive and Stock orders, maintain storage rooms, organizing stock items and inventory

3. Perform minor and routine maintenance of kitchen equipment, filters, lines (monthly schedule available)

QUALIFICATIONS: Good attendance, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lift 60 lbs.
