Job Summary:
The Cook/Dietary Aide is responsible for safe and sanitary preparation of food served to patients, residents, clients, physicians, and employees of the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares and serves meals to patients, residents, clients, visitors, physicians, and employees in a safe and attractive manner.
Ensures that dishes and cooking equipment are cleaned according to standards.
Ensures food and equipment used to prepare food are maintained in a sanitary condition.
Ensures that freight is checked in and put away in a timely manner.
Adheres to standard working schedule.
Maintains a clean and appropriate personal appearance
Displays an appropriate, positive attitude toward the job.
Maintains or exceeds standards for good quality work.
Follows accepted standard safety practices as directed by the organization.
Shows understanding of the importance of visitors and treats all patients, residents, and clients with care, respect, and gives first consideration for their needs.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Accountabilities for all Employees:

Maintains confidentiality of the organization and patients.
Reports any health/medical errors.
Observes all Environment of Care policies and reports safety risks or hazards immediately.
Education, Training or Degree Required:
Must be able to read, write, make simple calculations, and follow oral and written directions accurately.
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
None.
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Knowledge of preparation and serving of food is preferred.
Previous experience in food service is preferred.
Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness is required.
Accuracy in following written and verbal orders is required.
