View Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the candidate will operate a switchboard at the District Office to receive calls and greet visitors, provide information, and transfer to the appropriate individual or office; perform receptionist, clerical, and mail distribution duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate a computer effectively to accomplish a variety of responsible human resource services. Candidate must also use advanced communication and public relations skills, as well as independent judgment. This position is subject to constant interruptions, and exposure to dissatisfied individuals. Professional appearance and attire in this position is essential. Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of general clerical experience. Candidate must have knowledge of telephone techniques and etiquette, word processing, database,s and HR computer applications. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are essential. Preference will be given to Spanish Bilingual candidates. Candidates who are also Spanish Biliterate are preferred.
