Purpose:

The Maintenance Worker III ensures an attractive, sanitary and/or safe facility for students, staff and the public by performing journey level installation, maintenance and repair work on district buildings, grounds, and equipment.

The Maintenance Services Department is looking for Maintenance Worker III to be part of the HVAC Preventative Maintenance Crew. As the most senior crew member, you will be responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance work is performed on HVAC assets. You will ensure junior crew members are following all procedures for their safety, as well as performing the necessary maintenance on HVAC systems.

Essential Duties include but not limited to:

Inspect heat exchangers

Visual inspection of HVAC units

Clean condenser coils Inspect drive belts

Replace drive belts

Lubricate bearings

Check fan motors

Test units for operation
