Front Desk Receptionist - Urgent Care

Description
We are currently seeking highly motivated, patient-oriented, Front Desk staff. This role will report to the Medical Office Manager and will allow us to meet the needs of our patients.

What You'll Do
- Warmly greet and assist patients and families; provide directions and support during check-in
- Complete check-in procedures, including verifying insurance eligibility, updating patient demographics, and collecting payments
- Input and maintain accurate patient records using Office Ally EHR system
- Operate a multi-line phone system: answer and return calls, route inquiries to appropriate extensions, and take clear messages for staff and providers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure reception area and front entry
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, transcribing, and emailing
- Assist with basic triage tasks and use basic medical terminology as needed for translation
- Attend and participate in meetings via phone, computer, or in person
- Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to safety and privacy procedures
- Collaborate with team members across departments and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- High School graduate or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year of related experience and/or training
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
- Highly motivated and able to work with multiple teams simultaneously
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines
You're great for the role if:
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin)
- Prior experience working in urgent care
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis.
- Cross-coverage is required across all clinic locations. The clinic locations are in Monterey Park, Arcadia, City of Industry, and El Monte.
- The urgent cares are open Monday-Friday 9:00am-9:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm. This is a full-time position and requires 72-80 hours per pay period, with the expectation to work one weekend per pay period. Shifts will be 12 hours on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
