Compensation: $27.59 - $27.59 per hour

Tessera is seeking a hard-working and dedicated General Maintenance Worker I with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Responsible for a variety of tasks, which may include applying touch-up paint, caulking, replacing floor and ceiling tile, replacing electrical outlets, switching covers and bulbs, repairing/replacing door hardware, cleaning roof drains and gutters.

Assist skilled workers in performing various electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry work.

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.

Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.

Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.

Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.

Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.

Follow all safety procedures and policies.

Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

Qualifications:

Must be able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high places.

Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
