We're looking for friendly, customer-focused team members to join us as a Deli Clerk. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, crafting delicious deli items, and delivering outstanding service, we want to hear from you! The Deli Clerk maintains a high level of quality customer service and product presentation to all 7 Cedar Resort guests and 7 Cedar employees. Prepares deli food and barista items in accordance to department recipes and maintains display cases and customer seating areas, ensuring compliance with Resort cleanliness and sanitation standards.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Greet guests, answer questions, knowledgeable of product served, offer suggestions, take and serve food and beverage orders.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Must be able to operate and prepare foods/beverages using a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to; panini grill, convection oven, alto sham, microwave, heat seal, gas range/oven, gas grill, dishwasher, Hobart scale, food slicer, coffee grinder, and espresso machine.
- May prepare deli food items by food washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish.
- Clean and sanitize electric food slicer.
- Process cash and non-cash sales.
- Keep all deli areas, customer tables, and seating areas stocked and clean.
- Must follow Temp Logs and department closing lists.
- Daily dish washing and department cleaning, including mopping, sweeping and taking out trash and cardboard.
- Ability to apply basic maintenance skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and retain department information and training.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 6 months Deli experience preferred but not required
- Ability to learn and maintain menu changes.
- Scale management and knowledge.
- Knowledge and preparation of a variety of espresso and non-coffee drinks.
- Ability to use computerized cash register.
- Ability to work in a high stress environment.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
- Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
