Day to day as a Receptionist/Secretary As a Recreation Receptionist/Secretary at the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, you'll be at the heart of our vibrant office, providing essential support that reflects our commitment to people with developmental disabilities. Your punctuality and reliability will shine as you attend scheduled shifts and meetings while maintaining professionalism in all verbal and written communications. You'll juggle multiple tasks-from collecting registration forms and coordinating monthly attendance sheets for exciting recreation activities to developing engaging newsletters and flyers. Your ability to adapt to changing priorities will be critical as you assist the Recreation Specialist in researching activities and securing tickets. Upholding confidentiality and respecting HIPAA requirements will be paramount while fostering positive interactions with a variety of people and community members. With a diverse range of responsibilities, including maintaining office supplies and scheduling facilities, you'll contribute significantly to a supportive and energetic environment, making every day rewarding for yourself and those we serve. Familiarity with database systems and office management practices will enable you to efficiently track monthly fee and participant records. Exceptional communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with individuals served and their families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Additionally, strong organizational skills will help you prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements.
