Lead Housekeeper/Environmental Services Partner ROCHESTER PRESBYTERIAN HOME INC - 3.2 Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $15.50 - $19.00 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Assisted living English Mid-level High school diploma or GED 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description The Rochester Presbyterian Home is looking for a caring professional to serve as a Full Time Lead Housekeeper/Environmental Services Partner at our Homestead location on Thurston Rd, Rochester, NY. day shift - Mon-Friday Sign on bonus - $500.00 The primary purpose of this position is to perform daily environmental support services tasks, to ensure the facility is in a clean, safe and comfortable manner and that it meets all local, state and federal standards. This position will be responsible for completing quality assurance goals and ensuring housekeeping tasks are completed by team members. Essential Job Functions: Implement and complete quality assurance reports and submit to leadership. Ensure daily logs and assignment sheets are completed and accurate. Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed. Coordinate daily environmental support services with other departments to prevent conflict with resident programming. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Clean windows/mirrors in all areas. Sweep, dust, damp/wet mop and disinfect floors Vacuum carpets and extract as needed. Clean walls, doors and ceilings. Remove dirt, dust grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning, disinfecting. Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners. Clean turnover rooms as assigned for admissions and discharges. Discard infectious waste into appropriate containers. Monitor for unsafe conditions in resident rooms and facility and report to supervisor. Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor. Clean and properly store equipment. Report burned out light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights to supervisor. Snow removal of entrance ways and watering. Perform other duties as deemed necessary or as directed. Requirements: 1-2 years of housekeeping experience. Experience in long-term care, assisted living community or ALR homecare setting with older adults is a plus. Must be 18+ years of age Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move with ease. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment in excess of fifty (50) pounds. Ability to communicate in English (reading, speaking and understanding). Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Possess ability to make mature, independent decisions in a timely manner. Be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through and manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure. Possess interpersonal and communication skills to communicate tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government regulators and the public.
