YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Captain Ambassador will play an important role as a Guest Service Ambassador with added management responsibilities to include but no limited to overseeing the operation of the Valet, Belldesk and Transportation functions for the Virgin Hotel and Casino to ensure an efficient, cohesive working environment, enforcement of safety regulations, and positive guest contact. The Captain Ambassador will be responsible for assists in training, motivating and supervising the Guest Service Ambassadors to ensure that employees receive the resources and training necessary to accomplish established objectives.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
This role will work closely with Front Services Manager to:
- Monitor daily operation of Front Services Department to ensure that proper procedures are followed with established standards.
- Motivate and manage teammates to perform job responsibilities in accordance with department objectives.
- Reviews daily schedules for Guest Service Ambassadors to assure appropriate staffing levels to meet business needs and provide adequate guest service.
- Contacts the proper management members to assure the prompt, courteous and resolution of guest complaints.
- Contacts Security Department to assess any damaged property and prepares incident reports.
- Monitors staff adherence to safety and emergency procedures and provides training in areas of deficiency.

MUST HAVE'S
- A minimum of one year in valet and/or bell/door functions in hospitality
- Have a valid Nevada driver's license and a clear driving record
- Have a TAM card
- Communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees
- Run across flat land as well as up and down stairs to park and retrieve cars in as little time as possible
- Reach and grasp keys to retrieve keys for customer vehicles
- Drive cars of all types
- Bend, squat, twist, carry, lift, push, and pull to be able to load and unload luggage weighing up to 65 pounds
- Observe and direct actions of subordinates
WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S
- Knowledge of effective valet/bell/transportation operations
- Customer service and problem resolution skills required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
THE WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, sunlight, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position typically works outside and is subject to all weather. Proper uniform is provided

- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and maintain physical stamina and mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
