Cage Cashier

Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the Casino Cage Shift Lead, the Casino Cashier is responsible for a window bank containing various denominations of currency and coins. Complete transactions for customers and internal operations.

IMPORTANT- There are suitability standards that all applicants must meet in order to obtain employment with Cocopah Casino. Applicants who have felonies, warrants, outstanding tickets, shoplifting or theft convictions will not be eligible for employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes, verifies and countersigns hand paid jackpots.
• Processes, verifies and countersigns blackjack fills/credits.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Handles the cashing of personal checks, payroll checks and traveler's checks.
• Assist customers redeeming vouchers, black jack chips, coupons, etc.
• Prepare all cage currency, coins and documentation for end-of shift inventory.
• Will perform other position requirements or duties as assigned by the Cage Lead, Cage Manager or Floor Manager.
• Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
• Casino operation is 24/7, must be able to work any and all shifts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming / Tribal Gaming Office.
• Candidates will be subject to pre-employment and on-going random drug testing.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent math and organizational skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Applicants must be of good physical health as this job requires standing for long periods of time and lifting of heavy objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

In the Entertainment industry one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke and stress.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience preferred
