Cook

Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the General Manager, the Cook is responsible for performing any combination of duties necessary to facilitate food service and maintain Snack Bar area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Not eligible for tips.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cook food orders in a timely manner.
• Receive merchandises and stocks.
• Clean grill, fryer, counters, dishes and mops floor.
• Perform any other Snack Bar position duties as assigned by General Manager.
• Must be willing to train on and run a cash register if needed.
• Must comply with all food safety and health regulations.
• Work in a fast paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Knowledge of grill, fryer, slicer and other kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of cash register preferred.
• Ability to speak read and write English fluently.
• Must be able to work in an environment containing excessive noise and smoke.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Health Card or able to obtain a Health Card
• Open availability is required.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• 2-year work experience in related field
