POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Registration Clerk for Registration and Student Planning develops, manages and oversees daily operations of the Registration Clerk team. This position ensures Registration Clerks are fulfilling the college's efforts to proactively register CCA students and support them through Graduation. The Lead will manage the operational functions required for registration which include managing Navigate functions, responsible for communication and outreach to students not yet registered to ensure that students get registered by established benchmark deadlines. The Lead will supervise a team and assist with creating degree plans and schedules for the student's program life cycle through graduation. The Lead will utilize reports to develop a registration strategy and ensure the team meets established benchmarks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervision of Registration Clerks

  • Create day-to-day work expectations and key registration benchmarks to measure area success.

  • Build registration plans for students in assigned caseload by departmental and registration deadlines

  • Works with students in caseload to adjust registration plans as needed

  • Works with student to update curriculum as needed (includingaddinga2ndprogram)

  • Works with CTE Registration Clerk to develop a tracking system to determine which CTE students have been added to the CTE caseload

  • Works with CTE Registration Clerk to identify and outreach to CTE students who registered but later dropped

  • Collaborates closely with the CRM Manager to develop and deploy communication strategies to communicate with students regarding registration and graduation

  • Coordinates team appointments in Navigate to ensure students can meet with Registration Clerks in-person or virtually

  • Works with the credentials team to identify and communicate about students who are close to graduation to ensure they are completing their academic goals

  • Communicate with Associate Registrar and Registrar to recommend additional course sections, observed registration patterns, and future course needs

  • As directed by the Associate Registrar, the Lead Registration Clerk manages the registration process to include:

  • Assisting Registration Clerks with late registration and re-registration requests.

  • Managing the registration errors process and determining resolution.

  • Manage no-show processes

  • Manages all course waitlists processes

  • Supports building Navigate plans to ensure they are current and allow for custom templates as needed

  • Works with Academic Success to maintain and update course maps

  • Develop and manage electronic forms in Formstack

  • Ensures students complete the registration process and any necessary steps to complete the registration process to include elimination of holds, special population registration or admission requirements, payment agreements, etc

  • Coordinates with Registration Front-Line Supervisor to provide front line in-person and phone student support services to ensure coverage to meet student registration needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in higher education or relatedfield.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (for candidates currently pursuing a Bachelors' Degree; additional years of experience working in higher education can substitute as the degree is completed).Successful candidate must commit to completion of a bachelor's degree within 2 years of date of hire.
  • Must be able to provide in-person and virtualsupport.
  • Proficiency with the Banner student information system or other student information system
  • Supervisory experience with professional and/or classified staff (includes hiring, performance management planning, and conflict management).
  • Knowledge of FERPA and an ability to work in compliance with Rules andRegulations
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to effectively work with individuals in high-conflict situations and demonstrated ability to think critically and troubleshoot/research issues.
  • Exceptional customer serviceskills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of FERPA and federal and state statutes impacting college admissions, recruiting, registration, and records retention
  • Bachelor'sdegree
  • Experience collaborating with faculty and other Instructional professionals
  • Knowledge of federal/state legislation, and CCCS policies and procedures related to college admission and tuition classification
  • Experience with the Banner student information system
  • Experience with EABNavigate
  • Experience with DegreeWorks
  • Self-starter
  • Require minimal supervision to complete daily tasks.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range is $60,075.44 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
