Title: General Maintenance Technician - Repair Focus

Office/Department: Maintenance

Description: This position is responsible for performing any type of general maintenance work necessary to keep all College facilities and equipment in operable condition. Perform various types of basic carpentry work necessary to keep all College facilities, doors, furniture, and equipment in operable condition. Perform various types of painting and staining tasks related to both new and renewed furniture, walls etc. Assist other areas of Maintenance as asked or assigned, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance, grounds, and general labor.

Requirements: Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent along with two to three years' relevant facilities maintenance experience in amercial or industrial setting. Experience with painting is preferred. Basicputer skills and a valid driver's license are required. Must have ability to interact with administration, staff, students, and the public. Must have the ability to lift and carry 70 lbs., work with maintenance tools and supplies in confined areas including manholes, tunnels, and ditches, work with heights (60-foot ladders/scaffolding) and be part of an on-call rotation. Must have a valid driver's license.
