We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our employee cafeteria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared based on standardized recipes while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes
- Ensure that all food items are cooked to the appropriate temperature and are visually appealing
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize waste
- Maximize cost/production ratio by using ingredients efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures
- Ability to follow standardized recipes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work holidays and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
