WE ARE SEEKING PRODUCTION COOKS TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
In Island View Casino's Food & Beverage Department cooks prepare food in accordance with quality standards and recipes, ensuring a consistently high-quality dining experience. This involves preparing, cooking, and storing food according to regulations, as well as managing inventory to maintain consistent food costs.
The Production Cook is responsible for preparing and stocking cooked dishes on the buffet food stations and properly storing assigned station's food items. They are also responsible for cooking food of superior quality adhering to the company's standards while maintaining the flow of cooking according to volume levels in the outlet.
Ability to assist in supervision of line and prep cook staff. Ability to produce the main bulk of the menu items by adhering to recipes with the ability to substitute and improvise. Assist in grocery rotation, proper cooling, reheating methods and food production labeling. Assist in production, main line or prep as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Driver's License or State issued ID.
Three to five years previous experience in mass food production such as military, institutional, banquet or casino required.
Secondary education or culinary program/college a plus along with any ACF certification.
