WE ARE SEEKING PREP COOKS TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
In Island View Casino's Food & Beverage Department, a prep cook's role is crucial in supporting the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients for the cooking process. They are responsible for tasks like chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, preparing sauces, and organizing the kitchen to ensure efficiency.
The Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the kitchen by preparing food prior to the cooking stage and have the ability to work in assigned station such as pantry bar, back prep, line prep, salad bar to produce quality foods and prep.
Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and co-workers. Assist in food production as needed.
Ability to work in assigned station such as pantry bar, back prep, line prep, salad bar to produce quality foods and prep. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and co-workers. Adheres to item recipes set by the Executive Chefs. Assist in food production as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older with a Valid Driver's License or State issued ID.
One to three years previous experience in a commercial kitchen required.
Post secondary education or culinary program/college is a plus along with ACF certification a plus.
