Hourly Wage
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.25 per hour - $20.25 per hour. Benefits are provided in accordance with the location's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Work Hours
The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Key Purpose
The Day Porter must have a keen eye, be organized, and able to follow a routine that provides regular inspection and cleaning of assigned areas. The Day Porter is friendly and accommodating and ensure the workplace is maintained for the client and visitors. She/He/They must be skilled in operating hand and electrical cleaning tools like dusters, brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners are required.

Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred

Key Accountabilities
Conduct daily inspections of building exterior and interior
Perform general janitorial duties and make minor repairs
Perform general cleaning including sweeping and mopping floors and stairs, cleaning entry doors and glass, mid-day cleaning of washrooms, and other miscellaneous cleaning as needed
Inspect and test various building equipment such as exit and emergency lights, door relay panel, roof drains, sump pumps, water supply valve, and irrigation
Receive shipments at loading dock, move palletized and boxed equipment within the facility, organize storage areas, and remove recyclable materials
In addition, work would include assisting with custodial work, parts and material storage and inventory, equipment operational status checks, and other general work assignments
This position may include exterior work in all weather conditions (sites vary)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds
Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds
Ability to frequently lift 0-10 pounds
Tasks performed are repetitive in nature
