The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role requires a strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wines, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service Excellence:
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders promptly and accurately.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, recommending beverages and answering questions.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns gracefully and escalate to management when necessary.
- Beverage Preparation & Service:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Accurately measure ingredients and follow proper mixing techniques for cocktails and other drinks.
- Ensure all drinks are garnished and presented attractively.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service, adhering to all local and state liquor laws (e.g., checking IDs, refusing service to intoxicated individuals).
- Bar Operations & Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, garnishes, ice, and spirits.
- Wash and sanitize bar tools, shakers, and glassware regularly.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking bar supplies.
- Complete "Open & Closing" task list at the beginning and/or end of the shift
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the bar's beverage menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pricing.
- Stay updated on new products, trends, and popular drinks.
- Educate guests about different spirits, wines, and beers.
- Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management to support overall establishment needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a [e.g., fast-paced bar, restaurant, hotel] environment.
- Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- [Optional: Relevant certifications, e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or local equivalent.]
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Compensation: Hourly ($10.65 - $12.00) plus tips
