Cafeteria Food Service

Responsibilities/Requirements

• Prepare and serve food.
• Clean/sanitize food prep/serving areas.
• Dish washing and general cleaning.
• Check in and put away orders in a timely, organized manner.
• Be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
• Enthusiastically follow instructions.
• Work as part of a team and be responsible for a cooperative working environment.
• Comply with all National School Lunch and Breakfast Program requirements.
• Complete all training courses as assigned by IDOE and the Food Service Director.
• Maintain confidentiality for staff, students and families.
• Promote positive school culture.
• The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
• Other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager, Asst. Food Service Director and/or Director

Qualifications

• Background in food preparation preferred.
• Position requires standing for most or all of daily shift, walking, bending, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
• Basic math skills for keeping accurate meal production records and cashiering.
