Laundry Aide

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for someone to work Full-time.

Hours: Full-Time. 5:00AM - 1:30PM, Monday thru Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, GED or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective customer service skills
• Previous experience in laundry and/or housekeeping
• Attention to detail

Laundry Aide Position Summary:

Responsible for the collection, laundering, and distribution of linens and garments to ensure a consistent supply of clean, high-quality linens for the hospital, nursing home, fitness center, and assisted living facility. Maintains laundry equipment, follows infection control protocols, and ensures all linen needs are met to support excellent patient, resident and customer care.

Laundry Aide Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains sufficient clean linen stock
• Operates commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment.
• Ensures that all assigned dirty linen carts are emptied daily.
• Uses and disposes of chemicals according to directions.
• Sorts dirty linens in dirty room.
• Processes linens both clean and dirty.
• Maintains cleanliness of the laundry department.
• Folds and sorts nursing home residents clothing.
