JOB SUMMARY: Working Lead responsible for overseeing the deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, exhaust hoods, and food preparation areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Six months supervisory experience.
  • One year experience in commercial cleaning and safe chemical use.
  • Ability to learn current occupational safety standards, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift arms and hands above the head, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push and pull.
  • Ability to stand or move around continuously for longer than eight hours.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to safely climb and work from a ladder.
  • Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Knowledge of Casino and departmental Guest Service Standards.
  • Responsible for overseeing and training the Heavy Duty Cleaners.
  • Ensure that all shift responsibilities and duties are completed including scheduling, attendance, coaching, etc.
  • The ability to communicate openly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with all Team Members and Departments.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multi-task as needed.
  • Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department.
  • Responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining the appearance of kitchen equipment and food preparation areas.
  • General and deep cleaning of equipment including, but not limited to gas fryers, stove tops, griddles, steamers, grills, and ovens.
  • Lift, transport, and clean mats daily.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble parts of major kitchen equipment.
  • Degrease and general cleaning of food preparation areas, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and detailing of kitchen areas.
  • Degrease exhaust hoods.
  • Safely operate equipment as trained.
  • Identifies and reports an irregular, hazardous, or unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor and ensure that safety standards are followed.
  • Must be able to work with others from the department as a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
