JOB SUMMARY: Working Lead responsible for overseeing the deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, exhaust hoods, and food preparation areas.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Six months supervisory experience.
- One year experience in commercial cleaning and safe chemical use.
- Ability to learn current occupational safety standards, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift arms and hands above the head, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push and pull.
- Ability to stand or move around continuously for longer than eight hours.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to safely climb and work from a ladder.
- Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
- Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Knowledge of Casino and departmental Guest Service Standards.
- Responsible for overseeing and training the Heavy Duty Cleaners.
- Ensure that all shift responsibilities and duties are completed including scheduling, attendance, coaching, etc.
- The ability to communicate openly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with all Team Members and Departments.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multi-task as needed.
- Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department.
- Responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining the appearance of kitchen equipment and food preparation areas.
- General and deep cleaning of equipment including, but not limited to gas fryers, stove tops, griddles, steamers, grills, and ovens.
- Lift, transport, and clean mats daily.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble parts of major kitchen equipment.
- Degrease and general cleaning of food preparation areas, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and detailing of kitchen areas.
- Degrease exhaust hoods.
- Safely operate equipment as trained.
- Identifies and reports an irregular, hazardous, or unsafe conditions.
- Monitor and ensure that safety standards are followed.
- Must be able to work with others from the department as a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
