Job Description


Vaco is hiring a Medical Receptionist for a contract-to-hire role!

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services and appointments.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays.
  • Assist with billing and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Epic experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to assist diverse patient populations.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individuals skill sets, experience and training;

  • licensure and certification requirements;

  • office location and other geographic considerations;

  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the referenced salary range of $16-19/hr reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
