EVS Tech Job Description As an EVS Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of non-occupied patient rooms. This role involves deep cleaning tasks, including flipping mattresses, disinfecting rooms, and properly handling linens. You will also clean isolation rooms following strict safety protocols. This position requires handling and disposing of soiled linen and waste. Responsibilities Clean non-occupied patient rooms with an average time of 20-30 minutes per room. Perform deep cleaning, including bed-making and mattress flipping. Thoroughly clean and disinfect entire rooms, including isolation rooms with strict safety measures. Manage and dispose of soiled linen by placing it into large, heavy bags and using disposal chutes. Handle and dispose of bloody and dirty trash as part of cleaning duties. Essential Skills Strong physical capability to lift up to 75lbs frequently and push up to 200lbs. Strong attendance record, punctuality, and reliability. Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, nurses, doctors, and team members. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work with difficult individuals. 6 months of previous experience in hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping. Additional Skills & Qualifications Direct experience in hospitals is preferred. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
